Welcome to the New Site
The beginning of something new — thoughts on building in public and creating a space for curiosity.
Welcome to the New Site
This is the beginning of something new.
For a while now, I've been thinking about creating a dedicated space to share my thoughts — not just about work or projects, but about whatever has my attention. Sometimes that's game development or technology. Sometimes it's creativity, process, or the simple things that make life worth pausing for.
Why This Site Exists
I wanted a place that feels like mine. Not a social media profile, not a newsletter service, not a platform owned by someone else. Just a simple website where I can write, share, and connect with people who are curious about similar things.
This site is built around three main areas:
- Essays: Standalone pieces about whatever I'm thinking about
- Series: Longer, multi-part explorations (like dev logs, progress updates, or deep dives)
- Portfolio: Selected projects and work
What to Expect
My focus drifts and circles back, always chasing curiosity. That means the topics here will vary. You might see:
- Reflections on creativity and process
- Game development updates (Morgierra, Lion & Wolf Games)
- Technology and tools I'm exploring
- Personal observations and lessons learned
I won't pretend to have all the answers. These are explorations, not prescriptions.
The Tech Behind This
For the technically curious: this site is built with Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, and MDX. It's designed to be fast, accessible, and privacy-respecting. No tracking cookies, no intrusive ads, no distractions.
Content lives in plain text files, version-controlled with Git. I write in my text editor, commit changes, and the site updates automatically. Simple, sustainable, and under my control.
Stay Connected
If you want to follow along, you can:
- Subscribe to the newsletter (emails when I publish new work)
- Follow the RSS feed (for your feed reader)
- Check back occasionally (no pressure, no FOMO)
Thank you for being here. I'm excited to see where this goes.
